His daily radio ministry, Moving Forward, airs on more than 120 stations nationwide, and he is a frequent guest speaker for churches and conferences across the United States.

He served as president of the Florida Baptist State Convention from 2016-2018, and Chairman of the SBC Executive Committee in 2017-2018. He is scheduled to preach the SBC Convention Sermon at this coming June’s Annual Meeting in Birmingham, Alabama.

From 1997 to 2004, Dr. Rummage was Associate Professor of Preaching and Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He continues to teach on a visiting basis at several institutions.
