Invest In Your Marriage Through Marriage Link

Posted by Mary Criner on

No matter the current state of your marital covenant, whether you’re in the “honeymoon” phase, or your relationship seems to be in shambles, we want to invite you and your spouse to experience this encouraging and educational conference with us.

Fall Marriage Link Event
Sunday, September 9, 2018
4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in QSBC Café (upstairs)

Last Spring, we held our first Marriage Link conference and were pleased to have 35 married couples attend. We hope to see new and familiar faces at the next conference, and hope that it encourages people to draw closer to God in and through their marriages.

Curtis Owen, Licensed Professional Counselor and Ordained Pastor at First Baptist Church in Ardmore, Oklahoma, will be leading the seminars again. Curtis, who has over 20 years of marital counseling experience, often encourages couples to view marriage as an investment where frequency and intentionality matters. This is why events like Marriage Link are central to increase joy in marriage.

"A long-lasting, strong marriage is built upon repeated and deliberate investments. We often focus on good things in our lives, but we don’t focus on the right things. Marriage is one of those areas that often takes a back seat to other important issues,” says Curtis.

It’s time for us to make our marriages a priority, and Marriage Link can help. We believe God has strategically placed the church in a position to educate, enrich and restore marriages by focusing on sound Biblical principles. We want people, when they face marital challenges, to look to the church for support rather than the world.

Marriage Link will encourage people to examine their relationship, see what areas need improvement and celebrate the successful areas. Married couples of all ages and stages are invited to attend the conferences. Spots are limited, so be sure to register early.

Registration is $20 per couple. This includes two sessions and dinner. Childcare is also provided.
