I grew up in Moore, OK with my dad serving in the tape ministry of our church. It was there I began my walk with Christ. During my high school years my family moved to an acreage in Blanchard where the entire family became "shepherds" for the sheep, donkeys, horses, and even camels associated with the large Christmas productions at Crossroads Cathedral in Oklahoma City. Following my dad's example of devotion and service, I am passionate about serving, teaching, and leading.
After graduation I married my high school sweetheart, Beth. We attended East Central University and finished our Education degrees at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Currently I am the band director in the Tecumseh Public School district where Beth also teaches elementary music. We have two biological children—Heidi and Ryan, and two adopted children—Morgan and Zack. We also have four grandchildren: John (JJ), Joy, Elijah, and Gabriel.
I came to QSBC in March of 2013 to serve part time giving direction to adult orchestra and middle school youth choir.
HOPE FOR MY MINISTRY
My hope for the QSBC Orchestra is to support the music ministry and to provide a way for individuals to use their musical gifts for a greater purpose, the harvesting of souls for the Kingdom of God.
