EQUIP U… QSBC is offering its semi-annual Equip U, Sunday night discipleship classes, as well as Support U classes on Wednesdays. Register here.
STUDENT IMPACT WEEK… Click here for more information about this three-evening event, Sept. 28-30.
A CHRISTIAN VIEW OF GRIEF… You’re invited to take part in a two-day emphasis on overcoming grief, September 12-13 at QSBC. Ministry expert Dr. Harold Ivan Smith, an author and grief educator who speaks frequently on the topic, will be with us all Sunday and part of Monday.
THE WAITING REVOLUTION… is a conference hosted by QSBC, designed for single adults. Click here for more information, and click here to register.
WOMEN’S MINISTRY KICKOFF… The R.U.T.H. Ministry Team will announce several new and returning events and ways to get involved at its annual September Kickoff. The September 2 evening event begins at 6:30 p.m. in the QSBC fellowship hall. Entitled “Ready, Set, Glow,” the event will be a multi-media experience and will include fun, food, song, fellowship and God’s Word as well as presentations of opportunities for you to serve Christ through missions and ministries. MINISTRY TO MEN’S… Fall Kickoff event will take place at QSBC on the evening of Thursday, September 16. Learn about opportunities to connect, serve.
WOMEN ON MISSION… will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 9:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. Lunch will be served. The program focus is “Missions in Oklahoma through the Edna McMillan Offering.”
ATTENTION QSBC MEN… You are invited to a special event, “Men In Motion Fall Event” on Tuesday, September 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the 146 Fitness and Recreation Center. Men in Motion is a part of our QSBC Men’s Ministry that meets every Tuesday from 8:30-9:30 p.m. in the Youth Building Foyer to study and discuss a topic that is relevant to Christian men. The meeting will help kick off the fall with a time of food, fellowship, ping-pong, pool and “foosball.” For more information, contact Brent Salgat (373-1072) or Von Nix (330-8199).
NEW MAPS… of the QSBC facilities are available in the hallways and entry points.
THE FOOD PANTRY… is in need of the following items: canned tomatoes, canned fruit, bags of flour and sugar, rice, jello and bar soap. Please bring donated items to the pantry on Wednesdays or Sundays. Thank you.
PRECEPT BIBLE STUDY… “Jeremiah, Part 1 – You’ve Forsaken Me: Repent and Return,” meets on Thursdays at QSBC, beginning Sept. 9, from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. Find out more about Jeremiah, the “weeping prophet,” and his life and ministry. Cost is $22. Reserve your spot to class leader, Paula Homsey Vawter (via email at PRHomsey@cox.net). WHIZ KIDS TUTORING… Make a difference in the life of a child. Become a Whiz Kids tutor/mentor of a public school student in OKC. Tutoring sessions meet on Monday afternoons at The Baptist Temple Church. See Estelle Teeter for more information.

THE 146 FITNESS & REC CENTER… is open for business. The walking track and weight/exercise rooms are open. The basketball floor is under repair and is unavailable at this time.
DIVORCE CARE… Classes will meet on Wednesdays this fall (beginning September 15), from 6:30 – 8 p.m. Cost is $10 (for the workbook). For more information call the Singles Ministry office at 302-3037 or register here.

GOOD NEWS CLUB… Join a team of QSBC members in starting an after-school Bible club at Charles Haskell Elementary School on Tuesdays from 3:30-5:00 p.m. starting Sept. 14. Help teach a Bible lesson, songs, or donate needed items for the club. Visit the table by the Welcome Center or see Ray Griffin.

PRAYER MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES… You may serve as a prayer ministry intercessor, committing to spend one hour each week in the Upper Room prayer room. Or you may want to be part of a Minister Prayer Group, which undergirds each of our ministers and their ministries with specific, targeted, intercessory prayer. Group members commit to praying for requests they receive by email or postal mail. Please seek God’s face, and if you are a QSBC member and feel called to join us in the ministry of intercessory prayer, call 302-3030 or email mschantz@qsbc.org.
A THROUGH THE BIBLE READING PLAN… At this link, you will find a reading plan that the Pastor has selected that he believes will enrich your walk with the Lord.
EVENT REQUESTS… Any group, large or small, needing to use a room at the church must complete and submit our current facility/event request form available in the church office. Please submit your request 60 days in advance. Once submitted, you may visit the church’s Web site (qsbc.org) to verify that your event has been approved and is on the QSBC church calendar. (Click on the “calendar” tab at the top). Please be aware the event approval process typically takes 5-7 working days. If your event was not approved, you will be notified of the conflict so that you may resubmit your event. Contact the church business office at 755-9240 with any questions.
TAKE A FREE SPIRITUAL GIFTS ANALYSIS… If you are a QSBC church member, please take a moment to complete the free Spiritual Gifts Analysis provided by the church. This analysis will help you understand your spiritual gifts as well as the church staff to be able to provide opportunities of service in the way God has gifted you.
