UPWARD FLAG FOOTBALL & CHEERLEADING… is for boys and girls, grades K-8. The league takes place from August 18 - November 3. All players must attend an evaluation session. Evaluation dates at the QSBC ballfield behind the church are Sat. Aug. 2 (9a.m.-Noon), Tues., Aug. 5 (5-7p.m.) and Thurs., Aug. 7 (5-7p.m.). Cost is $60. Register here. NEW PRECEPTS BIBLE STUDY… of Genesis, chapters 1-11. Beginning Thursday, September 4 and going through November 20, this will be a Bible study of Creation, the Fall, and the mercy of God’s plan for the redemption of mankind. The study meets each Thursday in the QSBC Fellowship Hall from 9:30-11:45 a.m. Cost is $19. The study will be co-lead by Paula Homsey Vawter (330-6753) and Carolyn Churchill (749-2294). YOUNG MUSICIANS’ CAMP… set for August 4-7, is for students who recently completed 3rd-6th grade. Cost is $85. For more information, contact the QSBC Music Office at (405) 302-3006 or register here.
THE R.U.T.H. WOMEN’S MINISTRY AT QSBC… is promoting the Living Proof Live 2008 Simulcast of Beth Moore at QSBC on August 1-2, 2008. Tickets are now on sale for $30 each.
WOMEN OF FAITH “INFINITE GRACE” 2008 CONFERENCE… tickets are on sale now at the R.U.T.H. table for $45. The conference is November 14-15 at the Ford Center.
PARKING VOLUNTEERS NEEDED… for QSBC’s assisted parking service on Sundays. This is a 30-minute time commitment for the 7:45-8:15 a.m., 9-9:30 a.m. or 10:30-11 a.m. time slots. Greeters are also needed during the 11 a.m. time slot. Contact Dale Silvernail at 412-6339 or oksilvernail@cox.net.
‘BOOT CAMP’… is for students now entering the sixth grade. QSBC is pleased to offer this orientation time for new students to learn all about our Middle School Ministry. The boot camp takes place on July 28-30, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., and costs $50. Call 405-755-9240 (ext. 224).
THE OKLAHOMA BAPTIST HOMES FOR CHILDREN… will hold its annual Back-to-School Style Show on Saturday, August 16th, 10:00 a.m. at the Cox Convention Center, in Oklahoma City. All proceeds benefit the children of the Oklahoma City and Boys Ranch Town campuses. Check with your Sunday School department director for ways you can help.
CROSSWAY IN CONCERT… On Sunday, August 17, the Christian music group Crossway will sing in all three morning worship services and put on a complete concert at 6:30 p.m. in the QSBC Worship Center.
NEW FOR WEDNESDAY EVENINGS THIS SUMMER… QSBC introduces Team Kid, a new program combining faith, learning and fun. It meets from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday. Gradeschool (1st-5th grades) meets in the Children’s zone upstairs. Preschoolers meet in the Preschool suite.
PASTOR’S BOOK OF THE MONTH FOR JULY… is The Pursuit of God, by A.W. Tozer. Order your copy in the QSBC Library or Church Office for only $7.
THE QSBC BENEVOLENCE MINISTRY… is in need of the following items: Cookies, rice (1-2 lb. bags only), pudding, paper towels. Donations may be brought by the QSBC food pantry. If you would like to support this ministry with a financial gift, simply write “Benevolence” on your offering.
FOR YOUR PRESCHOOLERS & CHILDREN… Classes for all ages of preschoolers and children are available during the 9:30 a.m. & 11 a.m. worship hours. Sunday school classes for birth through 3-year-olds are also available during the 8:15 a.m. worship service. The Preschool Suite is located on the 1st floor at the southeast corner of the building. Children in 1st-5th grade meet on the 2nd floor above the Preschool Suite. Greeters are in place in the halls near the Preschool Suite to guide you in locating classrooms for all children and to assist you in our security process.

THE R.U.T.H. WOMEN’S MINISTRY… is collecting recipes for its cookbook now through Sunday, August 31. All proceeds go toward the 2009 Mission Trip to Kansas. QSBC SERMON VIDEOS ONLINE… You can now go online and download videos of Pastor Hance Dilbeck’s sermons or watch them online. TAKE A FREE SPIRITUAL GIFTS ANALYSIS… If you are a QSBC church member, please take a moment to complete the free Spiritual Gifts Analysis provided by the church. FACILITY/EVENT REQUEST FORMS… QSBC strives to schedule the use of its facilities in the most responsible manner, and in accordance with our budget. Our personnel require sufficient notice for staffing overtime needs. Therefore, QSBC has its policy requiring all events be scheduled 60 days in advance.
Event Request forms are available in the QSBC Business Office from Traci, our receptionist. Any request requiring budget funds must be accompanied by a cost projection form. Event requests are approved/disapproved in staff meeting. Full staff meets the last Tuesday of each month. Event Requests for May and the months after are being received at this time.
