God Is Light; All Light; Only Light!

Light” is a powerful, universal theological word.

How is it used in the Bible?       (Brainstorm)

A Welding Torch  === Majestic Glory & Power

1 Timothy 6: 15-16    

Darkness = Common

Result is Humble Worship (Fear)

 

A Reading Lamp === Revelation  (Intellectual)

Darkness = Ignorant or False

Result is insight or knowledge

A Flashlight for path === Way to Live (Moral)

Darkness = Evil, impurity

Result is Walking is godliness

 

The effect of the light is not just to make men see, but to enable them to walk.  Right conduct, not just clear vision, is the benefit which light bestows.                              John R.W. Stott
